★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My nephew passed away tragically and Ese Tatupu and Hila Tulafono helped our family send him back to Fiji. Ese and Hila made us feel like family. Under the circumstances they were great to deal with. I have known Ese since his time working in Papakura and Remuera as a young funeral director. He looked after our family and friends all over Auckland. I would highly recommend Ese and Hila to any one wanting a caring funeral directors. Our family are forever grateful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From my 12 year old nephew whose Nana passed away December 2019.
Ese Tatupu was chosen as the directors for his beloved nana's funeral. He says: aren't you supposed to be on time for the family service and funeral service? This funeral director didn't direct the funeral the right way by always coming late.
In reply to Ese Tatupu. Nana was PICKED UP late from the funeral and family service venue unreasonably late. This was not due to family instructions, but the LATE arrival of the hearse. I'd say this would not be normal.
Would recommend others to think carefully about using this funeral director's service.

Funeral Director: Ese Thank you so much for the warmth and love you have provided and delivered. The team and especially Vanessa and Luana your professionalism have blown us away. I am forever grateful, the way how Mum was taken care of. From day one when Mum passed away till her burial.
Honestly so glad we went with yous, if there was ever a memorable send off or farewell. Choose Ese Tatupu. That’s what we did.
Ese you and the team are worth every dollar that we spent. For the incredible quality and wonderful service you provided.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seriously the "BEST" Funeral home and directors in New Zealand(Not even exaggerating) My mum passed away Monday afternoon, I called Ese straight away if he had space for her and he was very comforting and made everything super easy and smooth. They liaised with Auckland Hospital for Mums pick up(which was a day late because she was a tissue donor) and got in contact with us to discuss Mums last services. We let him know what we wanted and Ese was understanding and met all our needs and requests in result of that we were able to give my mum the best send off. It was the personal touches that made their services extra special and excellent. I couldn't recommend them enough! if you want a service who will serve with excellence use Ese Tatupu and his Team.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ese made a point of being available right from the start, taking my initial phone call at 9:30pm on a Friday night.
From there he and his wonderful team made a potentially stressful situation really easy.
Ese is highly respectful of cultures and beliefs and is extremely knowledgeable of the entire funeral process. Moreover, he is more than willing to share his knowledge if you require it.
He put the process and our needs before everything, even suggesting we settle the invoice after the burial was over.
Thanks Ese and team for all your hard work.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yesterday our family in NZ experienced what it was like to farewell our loving Uncle Toatolu to his final resting place during the current Covid 19 Level 4 Lockdown. We have seen some funerals where only the funeral director and the workers at the cemetry carries loved ones to their resting place and this saddens the family caused so much heart ache. However Ese Tatupu FD arranged a live stream of Uncles funeral service where the family could say goodbye, sing hymns, and our Rev Minister conducted the service, after ther Service , Ese did an amazing thing. They did a drive by to the house where uncle lived so the family could say goodbye, this was as close to normal as it could get under the circumstances. The staff at Ese proceeded to carry our Uncle to his resting place, they were young and very respectful. Then covered Uncle with warm blankets and the ie pilis to keep him warm. I was full of admiration and praises the staff I kept saying while watching the recording thank you, fakaue lahi , God Bless you. You guys were absolutely amazing
So from the bottom of my heart and our families here in Australia Thank You, Oue Tulou Ese Tatupu and staff for taking very good care of our Uncle from the day you looked after him to his very last day. I thoroughly recommend this place

This is a heartbreaking industry, but it is heartwarming when Ese or his team guide you through the process, with care and love. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thank you to the Ese Tatupu team especially Luana & Ese himself for accommodating my family and I during one of our toughest days. Not only were we in a Level 4 lockdown, they went above and beyond to give my sister the best possible Lockdown funeral service. They assisted us in the best way possible and being Pacific Islanders obeying lockdown rules was the hardest part but they guided us the entire way through. I know our deceased family member approved of her farewell.
