When I first moved to Otaki 12 years ago, I asked about a dressmaker. I am short and things always need taking up. ‘Nancy Carr,’ someone told me, ‘Nancy Carr.’
Since then I’ve been going to Nancy for repairs, hem take–ups, alterations of all kinds. Last year she made me a couple of really gorgeous shirts. For these she organised buying the fabric, made up the style to my ideas, then came to my place for fittings because I don’t drive any more. Highly recommended.
