β β β β β Stopped here for just a coffee (which was good), on a cold & wet day, however the Danishes looked good so we were tempted to have a Plum Danish, and a Blueberry Danish, (both of which were excellent).
Cafe was full (which was a good sign) and only table free was close to the door, meaning a cold draft every time someone came in or left. Person at a table beside us mentioned to the waitress the she was cold & had sent her husband out to get her puffer jacket, & waitress responded by saying she'd go & turn on the heating, which helped a lot and quickly warmed the place up again.
Looks like there is a nice outside seating area for during the warmer months.

β β β β β Consistently good food from either the counter or the kitchen. We visit this place quite a bit through the year. We like being able to choose to sit inside or out. There is a pastry that is like eating a delicious pillow of soft pastry, custard and berries available. Be very direct if, like me, you don't want toast under scrambled eggs because it gets soggy, but want it on the side, not soggy. Owner is usually overseeing the cafe and keeps things tightly run. I can't comment about the pizzas as we haven't had any.

β β β β β Great coffee and delectably inviting cabinet food.
Fresh chilled water available to help yourself as you wait for your order to be prepared.
We timed it well to be in ordered and seated when a queue quickly built from the counter and out the door.
Despite being hectic the counter staff acknowledged customers coming and going, while the waitress was quick on her feet serving and clearing as she went and still smiled.
A cafe I would visit again.

β β β β β Featherston has had a couple of dud cafes in past years but this one isn't one of those and is worth a stop. Spacious interior, friendly staff, great coffee (Flight), and a good selection of tasty food. Try it.

β β β β β This cafe appeared to be the only decent cafe on the main street. Cute old building and quite cosy inside. It was very busy. Staff were friendly and at least warned us about the delay in getting food. Limited menu. Coffee was good. Only able to get table outside. The bench tables were very old and wonky. Could do with an upgrade. Food didn't take too long, but very disappointed with the breakfast we got. Very plain looking. No effort made with the presentation. Sausage was tasteless and mushrooms too salty. The counter pastries and muffins looked good.
