★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The brands they stock are great, but everything else wasn't. I wasn't greeted when I walked in, bad customer service, quickly folding the $800 blazer I bought and roughly throwing wrapping paper around it and chucking it into a bag with not even a word of thank you when I left. Incredibly disappointing and awkward, rude experience. Unfortunately, I can find all the brands that are stocked in this store online elsewhere and will continue to purchase from those places instead.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was buying a pair of shoes for my friend as a present. I saw there is a section for decorating as Christmas gifts and I asked them if I can get the same decoration as well. The manager said my gift just not worth the time that they do the wrapping.
That’s really rude……And thank you never coming back. I hope you guys can really change the attitude.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been into the store numerous times, haven’t been all that impressed each time. Is it the vibe? The lack of friendliness? Or the incompetence of staff? All three I would say. The straw that broke the camels back was when I emailed to request an item be put on ‘hold’. They responded that they couldn’t take an item off the website which was fair enough, however they also said they would put it “aside” for me as I would be coming the next day. That day was today and what do you know, the item had been sold to another person earlier in the day and their response was that they didn’t know I would be coming in and that they can’t technically call the customer back and give it to me. Bad communication and even worse handling of the situation in person.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m staggered by the tone of reviews here. My husband and I are regular customers at Fabric and just can’t rate the owner and staff highly enough. It looks to me like someone hasn’t felt validated so has had their friends pile in, which is just disappointing. Fabric is one of very few shops in NZ that not only reliably stocks beautiful clothes and accessories, but as soon as you step into their door, you feel you are a valued customer. They don’t oversell, and that may be what some in the reviews here misinterpret. Personally, I far prefer to make my own choices with measured assistance than have an over zealous and thinly veiled sycophantic salesperson disingenuously stroking my ego. So, to the Fabric team, keep it up! You guys are the best!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been buying clothes from Fabric for nearly 20 years. The customer service has always been exceptional. The selection of brands is always fantastic and the quality is superb. My daughter now wears items I purchased 20 years ago and they still look great. Quality clothes, that will last. It is always money well spent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ FABRIC has a lovely selection of clothes from a variety of designers. Reasonable prices for top quality brands (the Comme Des Garçons range in particular). I'll also add that the staff I've spoken to have a great knowledge of their labels and provide excellent insight. Would recommend stopping by :)
