★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went into the Grey Lynn store about two months ago to purchase some cakes. The lady behind the counter promptly using her gloved hand to pick the cake I ordered and straight into the box. I was horrified!! It would have been okay had she not used the same glove she was wearing on anything else such as opening/closing cabinet door, touching the handle, pen, etc. And then with the same glove, touching the food/cake with it. Tried to tell her nicely, she should not be doing that. That is how the germs get transferred. No apology from her, but a reply of "so, do you still want it?" So I said "of course I do not want it". Another staff walked over, then they both rolled their eyes when looking at me. The look on their face, just wasn't nice at all. They both made me feel really uncomfortable. I had been a regular customer there for many years. Spending hundreds of dollars every four days just about. Now I shopped somewhere else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Farro has the freshest and best quality veges, and at times it's cheaper than the supermarket. They stock many specialist products like duck and steamed buns..... The wine selection is very good, and I prefer their rose selection to supermarkets. The store has a farmers market, community feel. They offer fresh rolls, salads and coffee. I only buy deli meats from here as the quality is better than supermarket brands. Staff are friendly and helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love their stores, food is incredible, flowers are so unique and special. Staff are lovely until I got to the cashier. Young lad serving, but I don't know if it is me not dressed for Farro's or he is having a bad day. The food carefully packed by the deli team, was just thrown in a pile after scanning. This included sandwiches, jam doughnuts, etc. I was furious but didn't want to make a scene.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty shocking service, promised a free coffee with one of their promotions and when it came to collecting it they couldn’t find the offer on my account. So just ended paying for it myself and it was less than average. Suggest some further training for your checkout staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good: Lots of stock for meat and vegetables whereas other, larger chain supermarkets across the road currently have nothing.
Cons: 10 minute wait time in the queue, spare/available checkouts were closed, no option to self check out. Slightly higher mark up for the same stocked items across the road. Shop took twice as long as I thought it would.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great quality food, but the customers are jerks that don't know manners. Maybe don't block the aisles and everyone can pass? Amazing concept I know, but manners are pretty rare in rich socioeconomic areas.
I also really dislike fake rustic decor

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Farro is definitely establish as high class supermarket. When you enter into the shop, the fruits and vegetables look absolute A grade. Well and neatly display. I went in to sample some ready made cooked foods. Fish smoke pie is my favourite. Love to shop there.
