FAST FIX - Coastlands Shoppingtown

Disaster - cracked iPhone screen for one of my Kids. 2Degrees $69 just to get the phone assessed in Auckland, plus a 10 day wait plus actual repair costs, which were not proforma. Fast Fix Paraparaumu, done in 40 minutes, complete with a screen protector fitted (might have helped to have one before!) in 40 minutes - $140 for the repair and $25 dollars for the screen protector. Good result, friendly guy, job done. Highly recommended.

My phone met with a stampede of cattle. The lady in the store convinced me that I only required a new screen for my Samsung A8+ to repair it. I enquired as to whether the new screen would be a genuine Samsung product. I was told it would be and was quoted $240 for the repair plus $15 for a new screen protector. I went ahead with the repair. I was advised AFTER I paid for the repair that my phone was no longer waterproof, the IP68 rating is a feature I require on my phones. I asked why I wasnt told this BEFORE the job was undertaken and was told they didn't need to tell me because everyone knew it. The images on the screen started to disappear after 3 weeks and I could only view them if I pressed into the screen. I took the phone back and was advised that there was supposedly a crack on the screen so wasn't covered under their warranty. I asked again if the screen was genuine Samsung and was told it was. I even asked if I sent it away to Samsung, would they confirm it was one of their screens... yes was the answer. I did some enquiring and discovered that fastfix are not authorised repair agents for Samsung so therefore unable to access their products nor install them. I have also been informed that they get their terrible quality screens from Aliexpress. My insurance company have since replaced my phone and advised the repair from fastfix (after seeing their repair report and how poor it was... not fixing any of the other issues it had aside from the screen) was unacceptable and never to go back there. This has been brought to the attention of the business owner by mall management in Paraparaumu. The owner has advised me that the screens are not "genuine Samsung" but are "genuine quality"... whatever that means. He also told me that he has looked into the matter deeply and at the photos of my screen. Knowing that there weren't even any photos taken of my screen I asked for him to produce these. He could not. He offered me to purchase a new screen at half the price. I do not want another bad quality screen and instead said that I would settle for half the price refunded on the old screen. The owner would not compromise in any way and suggested I proceed down a legal path which he knows I am highly unlikely to do for the amount of the claim. Nothing but dishonest and unethical dealings were had here. **** In reply to the below reponse from you**** More lies. A new one... because you haven't mentioned this one in any of our communications. There was no job sheet given. Only a lady trying to persuade me to leave my phone with her despite my hesitation. I did however have to sign something before I could take my phone away. Bit late then aye when the damage is already done WITHOUT my consent. And no, I wouldn't let you touch my property ever again. Also... you ARE sure where I got the information from regarding the origins of your screens because I told you exactly where I got that information from. And once again... I'm not paying legal fees and wasting my time and petrol for $250. I offered you to refund half the money as an alternative to getting a 50% discount. That is logical and shows your character by refusing it. My insurance company did not give me a written report on how useless your repair/report was. I have already specified to you in writing all of the issues several times, you shouldn't need to have it explained to you again.

My screen had a few cracks and I got a better quality screen protector and a more robust case fitted within minutes while I was waiting. Excellent, professional and friendly service. Thanks Fast Fix.

Got camera glass replaced and the it wasn’t cleaned out properly from the previous broken glass and can still see specks of glass and dust inside the glass so there’s still massive black dots on my camera. Hasn’t even been a week and the glass already has a crack and the case I purchased has already broken. Service was below average, hard to understand and they struggled to understand what I was asking. Wouldn’t recommend, waste of $80

Got a new work phone and had Fast Fix put on an protection glass screen. Within a week the protection had a hair line crack across it. Just doesn't seem to be as durable as the screen protection that Classic Mobiles did for my old OPPO.

Worst experience for repair my phone. Repair lady is rude and not a good repairer. They had ordered wrong Camera back glass for my mobile and once they fixed sort glass, lady blamed you given wrong information instead they store lady has written every detail from my phone. She agreed to fixed again after 3 weeks because of order glass from overseas and never get back from them. They are charging more money then other store. I would prefer another store in mall which is good and they charge fair price with good service.

I went to get a screen replacement and a week later the phone screen started to lift off with not a drop or anything. Went back that same week and they did nothing about it so i went somewhere else and they showed me that inside the phone there where missing and loose screws and wires all over the place. what a waste of money

Super happy with the service I received from the Coastlands Fast Fix store today. The staff member was great to deal with. They didn't hesitate to help me with a screen protector that had been installed incorrectly by a competitor store. I would highly recommend the speed, quality & customer service at this store over & above similar stores in Coastlands. I will be back to this store if I need any cellphone accessories in future.
