★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed here a couple of nights and it was great. Like staying with your uncle. And Uncle Roger is a good dude, has been doing this for a while now and you will always be looked after. Great views, and close to the brewery ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed in this spacious house for a few nights and found it a perfectly fine experience. At the time I was the only one staying here which sort of made me feel more like a house guest but the fast wi-fi kept me occupied at night away from the usual Kiwi TV and that hike up the hill to reach the place kept me tired enough to sleep through the night.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very warm welcome from the owner who gave me the chance to choose among 3 available rooms even though I already made the booking for one! Very original traditional decor in the house, with ancient objects all over the rooms which give a special and unique experience. The bedroom was nice and functional, with a nice view on the bay and on the same floor with 2 other rooms. The only small bemol was the bathroom, a bit tiny but it's an experience and did the job at the end. The breakfast on the common area offers a stunning and clear view on Oamaru bay. Overall, good location up on the hill and 10 minutes walking distance from the center with restaurants.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thanks Rodger for a pleasant stay. The house is well located with views. Old world homely feel inside. Tea coffee and breakfast provided. We were given a choice of rooms. The kids room was small, and the ensuite cramped but adequate. Bed was very comfortable. TV in the main bedroom. Large lounge and sunroom to relax in downstairs. Fridge and basic kitchen facilities. The kids enjoyed the pool table and played the piano. A good alternative to a regular motel if you are passing through.
