★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A MUST visit place for Oamaru, you can see whole town and the ocean. There’s a easy track near the lookout point to hang around, and we spent most of our time there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took Mum and Dad for a trip on the 29th Sep 2020. Great View but freezing cold ??? one of the young boy next to our car ? was eating a big tub of ice cream ?!!! OMG ??? I guess led I choose the wrong tune to went, we need to go at hot summer time ❣️ Boys and Girls ! Don’t forget to find your capital city sign on the indicator and take a picture ❣️ I did for my mum and dad ??? Also hundreds if penguins ? Just there , down the right on 1/2 if you zoom the pictures ???

It is a wonderful place to sit and relax in, you can hear the birds singing and watch time pass by.
There are also nice walks going from there and you can bring your dogs there.
It is also a beautiful place to be in during the night to see the stars as Oamaru has relatively small light pollution.
I recommend people going there and having a look around!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Even as a visitor, Make sure you submit to the council to keep Wanbrow heights. There are many reserves but this one has gorgeous sea views where you can imagine there is no town when you want to be away, or you can check out the cannon or look over the town to get your berrings. Volunteers have started planting the walks.
