β β β β β Wonderful place to visit with vintage watches to suit all pockets (both mine and others much, much deeper)! Great service both purchasing, a vintage TAG Heuer, and also a repair from a corroded battery on another. Clear quote and safe, rapid delivery. Highly recommended and would be my go to place for all things watches.

β β β β β My sister and I went there to see if they could do a battery change, as we had a bit of time left on the parking meter and thought it'd be a quick fix (we hadn't booked in). We entered and was greeted pretty promptly by a younger man who said that it'd be a 20/30 min wait before the watchman could take a look. It was an interesting shop so we had a look around and were happy to wait. For the next 15 to 20 mins, no one else had talked to us despite having chats with the 2 other customers there. Someone asked if the watch was analog or digital so they came over and took it without really engaging with us. Long story short, about 5 mins later, the guy comes back and says the battery is changed and that it'd be X amount of dollars. I felt very neglected in the whole situation as there was no communication as to if they could change the battery and at what cost. I like knowing the price before purchasing anything, as I'm sure many people do too. We left a bit flabbergasted at the whole experience. It's a nice place and I'm sure there are great people that work there! I just felt that, as the only ladies in the store, we were treated a bit differently. The battery is working wonders though so thank you for helping with that.

β β β β β A rare business. In short: Five:45 is experiential, not transactional. Mal's welcoming vision is in evidence throughout. Ryan's a superb, no-pretension ambassador to watches for both aficionados and those seeking an introduction. Luke's photography drives an addictive Friday "latest arrivals" email. Drop by and you'll see what I mean.

β β β β β I have brought 4 watches from Ryan and his colleagues over the last month. I could go on and on about the 5 Star service, great prices (or haggling on my part) etc .
The real pleasure for me has been the 'time' they have spent with to ensure I'm fully satisfied with my purchases. For a novice watch collector like myself, learning and understanding what I have has been invaluable.
Thanks heaps
Henry

β β β β β If youβve been to the shop youβll know how nice the atmosphere is. But every business is its people, and the staff at 545 are the best in the business in NZ.
If youβre starting out with watches, 545 would be a nice place to go, and their website a good place to start. I say this because when I first started with watches and was full of βLabradoreanβ enthusiasm, Ryan at 545 was ready to answer every question, even the ones, looking back, I think were kind of amateur!
Since then Iβve bought from, traded with, and sold to 545 numerous times. When I bought and traded they took the watch off their site straightaway to avoid confusion. When I sold they verified and paid promptly. Thereβs a reason they have repeat customers.
Even if Iβm not in the market for a new piece, Iβll browse their βNew Arrivalsβ. Itβs comforting to know thereβs a whole wide world of watches out there in NZ. And their Instagram is top class. If only I lived in Wellingtonβ¦

β β β β β As part of a gift I took my partners old watch into 5:45 for a battery replacement and to get a new strap. The team (one in particular, sorry I didnβt get your name) was very helpful and showed me the different strap options and helped me to pick one that suited the watch. By the time it was finished it looked great and was the perfect gift! Thank you! It was also a really cool shop to look around with a very comfortable atmosphere. Will definitely be back again ?
