Flatwhite has been an iconic part of the Waihi Beach community for over 16 years. In 2015 we underwent a massive reconstruction resulting in a stunning, absolute beachfront restaurant. We overlook the ever-changing ocean, with views straight out to Tuhua (Mayor) Island.
Our restaurant operates 361 days of the year, closing only for Staff Appreciation (2 days in winter) and Christmas & Boxing Day.
Our main beachfront room also operates as a wedding venue. We run amazing weddings and can assist you to have a spectacular event.
We are open 7 days from 8am til late.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was a bit apprehensive about going, after reading some bad reviews - however my boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our night!
The space was so aesthetic and spacious, and the waiting staff were attentive and really friendly. The menu has some really nice meal options, and the wine menu is equally pleasing.
Overall a pleasant experience with delicious food, nothing to fault :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our favourite cafe at waihi beach with the view, and great breakfast lunch dinner menu. A bit on a side from the waihi beach centre, which is good. There's a large carpark, bike racka, ice cream shop outside and entrance to the beach. Just perfect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'll be honest, it was nice yet ok. Wanted to try the place because of it's beautiful location and just didn't light my fire to want to go back. So many staff, yet nobody checked we were ok and the creamy mushroom dish tasted like mushroom soup out of a tin... Nailed the coffee ☕

Meals were tasty, service was efficient but it was really hot inside so the water came in handy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The inside is stunning, from the shiny floors to the exposed beams on the ceiling, just artfully designed. The view of the ocean is panoramic, and would be a sight in all seasons. Didn’t get a chance to try the food, but the menu looks tempting. Did get a great coffee though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful beach front cafe and restaurant. I went for dinner as a party of five. Very popular so highly reccomend booking. Food was delicious but service was a little slow. We were booked for the start of service didn't really have a full restaurant to blame it on. They also have two lovely cats on site who love a good pat but don't wander around dining guests.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice Cafe in Waihi Beach waterfront. Very popular and always busy. Day menu had lots of variety and there is also a Kid's menu. Drinks came out promptly after ordering, followed by the Kid's meals, then mains. Very tasty and good value portions. Indoor and outdoor seating options
