β β β β β Upon walking in, did not feel welcome IMMEDIATELY. Bar one other table, we were the only diners in. We were sitting down catching up, and we were approached 4 times in 9 minutes which would normally be great, however on the fourth we were still not ready to order and were told they have other tables to serve and to basically hurry up. The drinks were half filled, and tasted absolutely trash. Took 45 mins for food to arrive, once the food arrived, we were served supermarket garlic bread for $10. Two of us are pregnant and were served chewy, undercooked pork belly, with mushy frozen vegetables from a watties bag for $30. The only edible meal our table got was a salad, which a long hair was found in. Overpriced for something I could cook myself better at home.

β β β β β Yeah don't go here. We had to ask to be served after waiting 20 minutes, and then our food took about 80 minutes to come out with no heads up. Now I could certainly understand this - if it were a busy restaurant. However we were the only people there (I can see why), and the food was below average at best. If you've ever tried Pirelli tyres then you might have an understanding of how my chicken tasted. By the time we got our food we had about 20 minutes to hurriedly finish our plates before the place closed. Better off getting a pie from the service station.

β β β β β Excellent staff, they were very accommodating for me to change the channels and watch the cricket. Great menu with a lot of unique items but also plenty of the classics to please everyone, and the food was very tasty. Styly interior and big bar, highly recommend

β β β β β Facilities 2 lots of flies. Comfortable seating. Street parking.
Service 3 no table orders and had to pay up front.
Food 1 chicken in burger was hot AND cold. Sickeningly sweet dressing drowning salad. Fish was tasteless and over cooked. Glass of wine was old (tasted like vinegar).
Cost 2 overpriced for what we got
Summary 2 wouldn't recommend. No standards

β β β β β Discreet, polite but tight management of COVID restrictions. All food looked appetizing. My burger was excellent, well cooked with a generous portion of chips. Cheery, happy young waitress.

β β β β β Place wasn't busy but food took ages to come out. I ordered the chicken tenderloin sliders and was very surprised they had chicken nuggets in there. Apparently they had run out of tenders (not sure if they're usually just the freezer version or in fact the fresh chicken tenderloins I was expecting from a cafe/restaurant) staff apologised and offered a refund, had to go get something elsewhere. Very disappointed

β β β β β Not busy cafe, but good service.
Food is not great, but Waihi is not a big township so we canβt expect anything fabulous!!

β β β β β Our food was lovely! Massive plates! Tasted super fresh & would have got 5 stars if I was given a steak knife to eat with instead of a butter knife to cut my beautiful lamb!
