★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went to this location around 7am maybe a bit earlier. One staff member was there so we assumed it was open. When my husband went to see what he was going to choose to buy the worker just went around him without a word and went to the back. We waited because we thought it was just for a moment. After a few minutes with my husband saying "hi we are ready" we decided to leave. After a short stay in whangamata this was actually the only business with no customers service. So pretty good town.

Sausage rolls are a hit or miss.
Gravy in the pies are a bit watery, not much depth in the flavour.
Prices are a tad high, especially with drinks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really freshened up. More a cafe bakery than a standard bakery. Large open seating area. Great coffee, best in town. Great friendly staff. Love the bespoke freshly homebaked style fare. Cheese scones are my alltime favorites, close 2nd is lemon and blueberry scones. And now they do cinnamon scrolls. OMG, my waistline will not thank me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would like to support this bakery I really would but I am so sick of the inconsistency in quality! Iv been stopping at this bakery for years and notices it slipping a couple years ago, now you'll go in and get over charged for either cold pies or hot food , or the next day it will be microwaved pies so soft and explode in the brown bag they put it in which becomes a sloppy mess to try eat and you'll want to eat it because you've just been charged 15 dollars for a small cransky, bottle of water and a steak mushroom pie...over it! Waste of hard earned money
