I brought a new 2017 ford ranger- it has had no end of problems. Complete shutdown had to be towed , got stuck in park , blu tooth issues etc etc if I listed them all I’d be here all day. No one wants to deal with it and even the dealer and service staff admit that there is a larger issue . It’s cost my Buisness so much money having this truck off the road and the time spent dealing with these issues . Waste of money- don’t believe the hype this is the most unreliable vehicle I have ever had . It’s been in and out of the workshop since the first week I’ve owned it. We were planning on replacing our fleet with rangers. But that won’t be happening. I have to laugh - they have gone toe to toe with Toyota and sold a “pretty truck “ . I got sucked in . But still have the same problems fords always have. Drop a pie on that one . Gone back to Toyota - for reliability- just be warned don’t expect the same level of service and warranty from ford when things go wrong.

We have just taken delivery of 3 new Transits! One vehicle had mechanical problems from early on within 4000km but once this issue was reported to ford they have responded with quality customer service!!! - - - - - - - They where able to repair the vehicle with parts sourced in a very short time frame, and the vehicle was back on the road within 24 hours!! - - - - - - - Some times even new vehicles are not perfect but then customer service needs to be!! Ford have shown that when things go wrong they are able to react with swift parts delivery and fast turnaround of workshop repairs. - - - - - - - It's important to businesses like ours to know we have the backing of Customer service like what Ford have provided in order for us to grow our business with confidence!! - - - - - - - Thank you Ford we really do appreciate it!

Ford has failed to take responsibility for design/manufacturing defects in the heater core pipes of their 2011-2013 Ford Focuses (yes the same ones with ongoing transmission issues), which results in boiling hot coolant leaking/spraying into the drivers footwell while driving (and eventually for the car to run out of coolant). Their dealers quote $1800 to replace this part, and Ford refuses to cover it, even though they are legally obliged to under the Consumer Guarantees Act, as it is a manufacturing defect (and not a consumable/moving part that a reasonable person would expect to wear out/fail). If you have some mechanical knowledge, you can fix this with $30 parts and an hour of labour, but Ford appears to be too incompetent to offer that.

I purchased my Ford Ranger from North Harbour 2015 and I have a full service history with North Harbour Ford - I have had an ongoing issue which is still present with my transmission. To say the least my patience has now run thin due the this fault never being fixed in warranty and now the vehicle is out of warranty the problem has gotten worse and has still not been fixed and now i have been quoted for a repair that is not covered! Even though complaint was within warranty. I have lost complete faith in this brand due to the customer service and advice given time and time again! Brakes are not a transmission issue. My vehicle has done under 100k are you really telling me that it's normal for a Ranger to have these parts fail. If so.. It is clearly not built for purpose. What does a customer have to do to get help , after having conversations and different opinions I am beyond frustrated ... not only do I have a vehicle that has a fault that isn’t fixed but I have had a difficult experience with the service department and Ford Nz. I have reached the point that I’m writing this to hopefully get some sort of help or at least some good customer service.
