If there was zero star, I would have given that. The motel is so outdated and needs renovation. Too noisy since the windows are not double glazed. The beds are so bad, they definitely need a replacement. Above all the service is pathetic

Amazing staff. Very friendly and made to feel you are most welcome and happy to see you. Felt like friends. Very knowledgeable about the area which makes it so much enjoyable. Felt you were in history as they talked about what had been going on back in the early days.

A very small room with super old facilities, way too hot to visit in the summer. The worst is that this is the assembly point of the tour and it gets very noisy from very early in the morning as people are checking in to the tour... It's worth $60 the most but it's for more than double the price

Good clean and practical place to bunk down for the night either leading up to your Forgotten World tours or after. Good beds, practical kitchen and available parking.

It was so hot in there. There was just one small table fan, which is of no use. You need to keep it so close and the other person wouldn’t get the air. It would have been great if you could have mounted a good ceiling or wall fan. I couldn’t leave the windows open because it was too noisy even with the windows closed.

Absolutely fabulous..great staff...Cassi and Ali..you rock...wonderful experience on the train ride..Ray, Tomo and Yalene looked after us so well and an amazing experience seeing King country/Taumanarui at a leisurely pace with an interesting commentary! Recommend adding this to your travel itinerary

We found the staff really friendly and helpful. We arrived earlier than the check in time, but were able to gain access to our unit. We stayed here because we were booked on the 20 Tunnel Rail Cart excursion. It was great we only had a few steps to climb to join our excursion. The motel units are an older style, but the bed was really comfortable. The only improvement would be to have better water pressure in the shower and a stronger fan for the hotter temperatures. We had no issues with noise. A handy location to walk to town for evening meals. Thanks.
