Why are we here? Why are any of us here? These are the universal questions that sit at the heart of the human condition. We don’t profess to have the answer. We’re only simple beer makers after all.
But we do know a couple of things. We know our community, for one.
And we know, that what got us here, to Leeds Street, and now increasingly in front of beer drinkers around the country was passion. A passion to share what we do well. Some call it ambition. Making good beer accessible for all. It’s our little crusade. One sip at a time.
For us, a crusade takes on the odds. It stands up against the bland. The average. The ‘it’s-ok’ view on life is not for us. And ‘it’s-ok’ beer is not ok for you.
This is why we celebrate those who like us, seek to make their mark on the world. Those who do. The Kiwi’s who create the extraordinary. The ‘I’m going to give it a crack’, ‘go hard’, ‘go all in’ types. You know who you are. Those who determine, often despite the hand they’ve been dealt, to push for more.
And the one thing we’ve noticed, is that fortune seems to favour them. It takes boldness, bravery and some say luck, to succeed. We believe you create your own luck - and that you make your own fortune.
So why are we here? Why are any of us here? It’s to make our mark. Big. Small. Good. Great. Its what we are striving to do. And share with the world.
We are not hand crafted. We are self-made. And we are on a mission to share our love for good beer.

They are so welcoming to people and dogs and super patient with us all. We always have a great time at Fortune, the atmosphere is buzzing on a Friday night!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really tasty beers and good range. We had the meat and cheese platter also which was generous and full of extras. The tasting paddles are a good option for getting a nice spread of what they do/ brew. They also had food available from a burger food truck next door. Really cool old building as well with the brewery running through it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome place with great vibes whether you choose to be downstairs or upstairs. It also has a little outdoor seating area as well is great, especially during the summer months! The staff are really nice and accommodating even though it gets really busy at times. And you can order some food from Gorilla burger next door!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great brew INARGUABLY & a venue with great Kai! Although the general manager could do with a lesson in customer service which might enable them to talk to people with respect and dignity especially during these sensitive times.
The team was warm and friendly despite the GM lacking enthusiasm or passion for their product.
Travelled far to celebrate this business as a stockist also, but genuinely felt let down with the experience.
All the best, and surely would recommend others to check these guys out, and their great beer, can only hope they have a better experience because mine was enough to hunt for another great lager!
