★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing little bar atop an old wonderful Wellington building. The bar woman were great, great recommendation... We had 3 glasses each. Highly recommend for a low key night out with friends or a loved one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hot dogs were fairly priced and were fairly good. It's just a shame that it came with disinterested, rude and dismissive staff.
I understand not liking a job but that shouldn't be painted on your face when you talk to a customer. Better bars, skip this one.
Go to Night Flower which is one floor down - that's definitely worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love Ascot. Guess if you want fake friendliness and to be treated special it’s not for you but if you want to hang out, get some good wines and listen to good tunes it’s great. Staff ARE friendly, but chill and not gonna pretend you’re anything amazing. Just chat about wine and cocktails. Music is a bit loud if you want to have a quiet chat, so more of a club-ish vibe.
Also worth noting that a few of the 1 star reviews are meant to be 5 star?? lol

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ok we were supposed to go to night flower but ended up finding this gem. First of all the service was warm knowledgeable and friendly. We were a bit lost but went with the suggestion and stayed longer. We also got curious with their carrot dogs which we thought a plant based hotdogs but really was a whole carrot and yes it damn works the texture and the flavour of the carrot was really amazing the buns was soft and warm the toppings was not overwhelming just right on spot. it was delicious and our cold red wine was a great pair highly recommended. the ambiance was chill and cool the music was just the right volume atmosphere wise if I live in Welly this will be our go to place.
