About Fosters Chandlery / Harken New Zealand
Fosters Chandlery have been in the business of selling marine equipment to the boating industry for 113 years. We stock modern sailing hardware products including well known brands such as Harken, Crewsaver, Tylaska, Marlow, Musto and Zhik. We also stock a range of traditional products such as Oakum, copper nails and roves, brass wood screws, silicon bronze fastenings and brass rubbing strip.
WHY USOur staff have the product knowledge and experience over many years of working and being part of the marine industry. We regard ourselves as a technical service centre and we can recommend, specify and service our product range.

From now on, I’m buying all my rope from them on principle.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not very impressed with these guys at all. Tried to buy a CMC Clutch through them, went through their website which had it for sale and in stock. Bought and paid for. Got an email the next day saying that in fact they didn't have any stock and it would be a few weeks till stock arrived and could I wait. I requested a refund. That refund took 4 days and 2 emails to get from them due to systems errors on their end. End result, a week of wasted time and no clutch. Will not be supporting them again and would warn anyone considering it to get in contact with them and confirm stock levels before sending any money. It's 2021, not any excuse for this type of thing.
