Try and organise a separate delivery company other than what Freedom offer’s. I’ve never had to deal with a more unorganised, rude and aggressive person that I do not feel safe having anywhere near me or my home

Had great customer service today instore from a lady called Ann cant wait to receive our sofa, the delivery delays are a bummer but just couldn't find anything as nice and good price anywhere else so felt this one is worth the wait.

9 months in counting for our gas lift bed paid in full. Many excuses about delays. With one being their whole warehouse had burnt down. No response when asked specific about where abouts this bed is. Prob still blueprint stage. Nasty.

Delivery has been delayed twice now. I had to follow up to find out why the item hadn’t been delivered yet, no update from them. Also, what’s the point in having voicemail if nobody calls you back? Very poor customer service.

We chose to buy from Freedom Furniture because when we went into the store the staff were friendly, knowledgeable about the product and the furniture seemed to be high quality. For a mid-range price product, it seemed to be the way to go. How wrong we were. When, in August 2021, we ordered our two armchairs the listed delivery date was beginning of January 2022. At no point have Freedom Furniture reached out to us to give us an update about our order and when it would be delivered. We emailed at the end of 2021 to ask for an update and were told that there had been delays and that the furniture would now arrive by the end of January. Not the end of the world, but it would have been nice to have been told, rather than having to contact them. In mid-January we contacted Freedom Furniture again, to check that everything was on track for the new delivery date. (By their timetable it should have already arrived in New Zealand). We received a short reply that the new expected delivery date to NZ was end of February, meaning that our furniture is unlikely to arrive until mid-March at the very earliest. Again, we had to make the first move to hear about our order status. When we spoke to staff they were fairly rude, didn't offer any real apology or other option than to cancel our order or continue to wait. They did not come across as open to feedback and did not seem to think that it was their responsibility to contact us to let us know about our order status. I will be very, very surprised if our furniture arrives by March. I fully expect more delays and to have to contact Freedom Furniture ourselves to find out about them. If I were you, I would not bother ordering from Freedom Furniture, unless you're willing to put up with continued delays and below average customer service. Update - 20th May 2022: Still no armchairs. I can completely accept that there are always going to be delays due to worldwide issues, such as a pandemic. What I don’t accept is continuing to state (at time of purchase) that products will arrive at a certain date, when the company knows for certain that it will take much, much longer. I strongly believe that Freedom lies to their customers about delivery times because they know that telling the truth would lead to people choosing to buy from somewhere else. Update June 2022: We got a call last week to say that the chairs would be delivered and to expect a delivery that day. We prepared for arrival and my partner worked from home to let them in, only to get another call later that day saying that they only have one of the two armchairs... the wait continues. An absolute joke.

In June of 2021, we bought some dining chairs from Freedom, paying 100% up front to take advantage of their sale. We were told to expect delivery in August. Nothing. Assuming that Covid was the culprit, we contacted them again and were told probably September. Nothing again. Then it was October, then November (you get the picture). In mid-December, and still no chairs, we moved house, rang Freedom to give them our new address, and were given (surprise!) January as the expected date. On the 27th January, the delivery company called to say they were dropping them off between 9-10am on the 28th, a Friday. Morning came and went , no chairs. I tried to contact the delivery company and left messages. Nothing. So I called Freedom, who didn't seem overly concerned but said they would check it out and get back to me. Of course that didn't happen. Late in the afternoon I got a text from the delivery company and we were told delivery would happen early Monday morning. Monday morning arrived and the hours slid by until we got a call from the deliverers saying they were outside but there was no-one home. Freedom hadn't bothered to pass on our new address. Fortunately we were only minutes away and so the chairs were delivered in January (on the 31st) seven months after we paid for them. In full. Freedom had the benefit of our money all that time but we waited months and months to receive our goods. Never going back. Ever. There are other furniture companies out there who do not treat their customers with contempt.

Very disappointed in the experience I had with Freedom Star Moving company. I brought a furniture from Freedom and have been waiting for a month for it to arrive from Auckland to Christchurch , but that’s ok! After that, I made an appointment with the Freedom Storage as shown on the receipt to pick up my item but we waited for almost 1 hour to collect it because there is no one who can find my furniture, the only person who knows where it is didn’t show up on the appointment time. Such waste of our time and effort. However the Freedom reception tried to help me out which is much appreciated. That is the only reason I didn’t give 1 star!!
