★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can stand here for ages and watch the tide battle with itself. We were there for about 20 minutes and watched whirlpools form as the tide came in and the two different water flows clashed with each other. You can see the current causi6nf rips in front of you and watch the waves from as the water surges. It is very impressive to watch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A pretty good viewpoint of the meeting currents at French Pass, and worth the long drive if you find that interesting. The road to here is beautiful, one of the best roads in New Zealand. The French Pass village is only active during the warm seasons, and there's not especially much to do, but a great place to explore or swim in the sea in the summer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best way to see the currents flowing through the sounds. The track is about 10-15 min and it is a bit rough in places. Carpark holds about 3 cars. Worth a look
