★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only 10 mins walk uphill to the lookout, where there's a decent view of the sounds and township. The rest of the track further on isn't in good condition.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice spot to stretch your legs. Quick twenty minute return to lookout with a nice view over Whangarae Bay.
Went ten minutes further on the trail hoping it would open up to a view east of Okiwi Bay but no luck.
Can be muddy after a rain so I’d recommend boots.
