Most Asian fusion places are touch and go - but food really nice here.
Maybe a touch too sweet (Massaam beef curry especially) but the ribs and squid and eggplant were yum.
Will be back.

From the minute you walk in you are greeted by an amazing urban chic Asian decor, followed by a warm greeting from the staff as you are seated.
From the short ribs to the sticky aubergine, every dish hit the mark. The curry sauce over cauliflower and peking ducks roti with crispy duck was devine.
Metro top 50 missed the mark with a number of their boring regulars that made it on in place of this.
Highly recommend for any foodie!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our first date night in the new COVID levels was such a smooth experience thanks to the team at Gao.
Previously it has been very busy and packed but with a mid week dinner we had a lovely quiet environment to enjoy our meal.
The waitress was polite and friendly and was very attentive to our needs.
The food was delicious with perfect flavour balancing and matching.
Thanks for the great experience and we will be back again.

We had the crispy chicken dumplings, which tastes very similar to KFC batter, had the beef dumplings which is punches great flavour and their crispy eggplant was great. Overall great esthetic and would recommend highly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We dined here and had a lovely dinner. Food was absolutely delicious and well presented. Staff were lovely and friendly, and service was very fast. Ambience of the restaurant was perfect with the murals highlighted on the walls, and fairy lights in the ceiling. All in all a great dinner and would definitely recommend.
