β β β β β What a fabulous camp ground with incredibly obliging hosts. I came here with a group, and they couldn't do enough to make sure our needs were met. Fabulous facilities, with lovely hot showers. Lovely outdoor area and a nice forestry walk nearby. Great rates. Highly recommend.

β β β β β Lovely stay for two nights. Friendly staff. Spotlessly clean facilities, and good sized sites. Hardly noticed the SH1 noise for anyone wondering!!!!

β β β β β Dropped off a friend, owner was confrontational.
Husband DEMANDED to know "what are you doing here!", ranted about scanning in (which I did), declared "Corona virus is a thing you know" (I have had THREE shots as am immunocompromised), ranted about a sign (never saw it, even when I double checked on way out).
His wife was ok though, and defended her husband as best she could but I think she was tired of doing so. Obviously the brains.
Grounds were tidy, spacious. Cabins were available, and prices seemed good. Sunny, semi secluded (location wise).
Lack of signage - I'd suggest they make up some cute "street" signs to help guide visitors.
But I will be unable to recommend to any of my clients or business partners.
Update: friend did sign in, this had been confirmed on her phone.
Note the lack of apology for husband's aggressive attitude, and note that the requirement for identity is unenforceable under NZ law.
Not Friendly. As you can see, a simple visit between sisters results in reprimands.

β β β β β Had wonderful stay a the camp. We stayed as part of a family fishing group. Facilities are always immaculate, as we knew from the previous year. Michelle and Andrew were wonderful hosts and their work ethic a credit.
Our group had two caravans, 3 of the cabins and I had the new unit with toilet and shower. So we had all options covered and we had great stay and successful fishing trip.
