English Language Proficiency and Opportunities
Evidence of English Language proficiency is a requirement of enrolment. English Language Entry Level Requirements English as a second language classes are provided by trained and specialist teaching staff at all levels. Students are “mainstreamed” (that is, attend our usual classes) to study other subjects. Senior students are prepared for the English Literacy standards required for entry into New Zealand universities.

AEAS Testing is a requirement for International Students intending to study at Glendowie College for one year or more.
International applicants, for whom English is a second language, must sit an entrance test administered by AEAS. AEAS Testing is available around the world, and students can register online. Alternatively, your agent will be able to assist you with the registration process. A copy of the student’s AEAS Report must be included with enrolment applications.

β β β β β The worst school ever. I fought bullies who were bullying other students who couldn't speak up for themselves. I got in trouble instead. Teachers didn't help at all.
Those students who got bullied ended up leaving the school. No justice for bullies.

β β β β β The girls had skirts that were rolled up too high- this is the most pressing issue to EVER HAPPEN in this school!!!1! I'm glad this issue has been addressed at every assembly- really shows what the school prioritized rather than the rampant bullying, lack of funding for the arts department and snail-pace laptops

β β β β β As sad as it is this school is utterly disappointing. My ankles were broken so hard every single day by Josh the goat, his deadly steps would make you paralyzed, I could not stand but help how is he this good, The Lionel Messi/ Cristiano Ronaldo of Rugby. WATCH OUT Josh the ankle snatcher is making his way towards you!

β β β β β Vaping is a massive problem at this college, as you can see from the other reviews. Overall I wouldn't recommend sending your children to this school unless you want them to become nicotine addicts.

β β β β β A medium to small sized public coed high school. The students are all from local suburbs such as St Heliers. The teachers are experienced and committed. The students are talented, at least some.
