Good Local is a gastro bar and Restaurant focused on providing quality food, service and value for money to locals.
With a lengthy background in hospitality, having previously owned businesses on The Strand, we are pumped to have moved to the suburbs where we can get to know our locals. We are locals ourselves, so it is exciting to be more involved in the community.
Good Local offers a range of Hamilton brewery Good George’s craft beer and cider on tap. We also have an off-license for the purchase of Good George’s famous squealers in case you’re heading off to a BBQ or want some of their fantastic beers and ciders to take home with you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Menu was good, great Sunday stake deals. Drinks were generous. The only bad thing was the plates were cold and it made the food cold. In winter I would have thought hot plates a must. The service was great. Staff friendly and helpful . If the food was hot I would give Good Local 5 stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a birthday lunch yesterday, all 9 of us really enjoyed our meals, service was excellent. The birthday donut was yum! One mistake made was sorted quickly, thanks for that, it’s what good service is all about - we’re all human, we all make them! We will be back.

Korean chicken felt funny at the first bite, but could not stop eating it addictive.
It will go really well with beer.
Staffs are friendly and kind.
