β β β β β One of NZ's most well designed malls. Very well ventilated and stores are large and spacious and not crammed together willy nilly. The interiors are decorated beautifully and change with the season. There is a huge array of stores, but they are the same generic brands one would find in any shopping complex across the country. That being said, the mall has used its space to the fullest, with a ground and first floor, with parking on the outside of the mall on both levels.
The main staircase (yes, actual stairs!) that leads up from the food court, takes you upstairs to even more stores, specialty eateries and a movie theatre - Event Cinemas, which also features a V-MAX screen. The aforementioned eateries are siruated in thr upper level in an area apltly named The Observatory - which, given its elevation, has stunning views of the motorway, and the Tauranga/Tauriko traffic interchannge. On the other side of the mall are elevators and an escalator for those who are unable, or do not want to use the stairs.
The only drawback is the parking, which although huge and has space for over 1000 cars and has ample parking officials guiding the flow of traffic, is barely able to handle a busy Saturday arvo, as most of the cars there belong to employees who arrive there earlier in the day, and the parking officials dont know whether you're just entering or trying to exit as they all just seem to be guiding cars to the jam packed outdoor parking area or to the exit.
There is great potential for this mall should it introduce a few big name/ luxury brands into the complex as it could be a huge revenue generator, a local attraction, would make the mall stand out more than it already does and also would bring many more people who would come exlusively to visit these stores.

β β β β β *Below are photos of some stores down at the crossing*
Pros: I love the selections of stores that are already down at the crossing and the stores that will be down there.
Cons: The car part is very tight and a delivery truck unloads outside of the Mill house and blocks traffic. Because of this people drive dangerously.
A "Starbucks" store should be put down at the crossing.

β β β β β This is a really grand shopping area for Tauranga and will draw people away from the more crowded CBD. The open strip mall opened a year or two ago and the enclosed mall opened in April 2019. It has all the usual clothing brand shops and a lovely open food court that looks over a nice playground area. The complex also houses a few cinemas with tickets that you can by from a kiosk. The whole complex has lots of natural light.
Of course, it would be nice to have a few other types of shops, like hardware - however The Warehouse is just a few steps away.

β β β β β Lots of shops for the ladies, gents are left a little in the lurch. Also love that the food court is unusually high end for a mall but I wouldn't mind some cheaper fast food options to balance things out.

β β β β β Awesome shopping centre. Modern and new. Has everything a big city mall needs as well as major store brands. Cinemas, groceries, clothing, a food court and tonnes of car parking. It even has the store that sells the best pies in all of NZ (Patrick's Pie)

β β β β β Why would you bother to go to Bayfair shopping centre, fight roadworks and port traffic when you get the same or similar shops at Tauranga crossing. There's plenty of gift shops, clothing shops, pie shops, juice bars, sushi and fast food to fill the grumbling belly. And let's not forget the little gremlins, there's a children's area to keep them busy for awhile. Maybe catch a movie or hit the games area if you're after an adrenaline hit

β β β β β Good shopping experience for all the family and heaps of family activities, like movies game rooms and heaps of food options to chose from.
As a local Carpenter I was working here at the Tauranga Crossing for some time for jarrah, sub to Hawkins, who accomplished this great development. For the up and coming and present residents of TAURANGA CITY.
