We have a beautiful, purpose built 550sqm childcare and early learning centre on a large 5000 sqm section at 708 Te Kowhai Road.
We offer a picturesque rural setting with one of the largest playgrounds in the Waikato, giving children plenty of room to run, play and create.
Children grow fruit and vegetables, learn about sustainability and the environment and play with our animals.
Our on site chef creates nutritious and homely meals from our commercial kitchen. Meals provided include; morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and late snack.
We offer a warm and nurturing home away from home for children aged 12 weeks to 5 years.
We have three beautiful rooms, each with hand-picked, child focused, high quality resources and an amazing teaching team.
Our learning programme is based on the New Zealand National Early Childhood Curriculum, Te Whariki.
We have a community focus and enjoy participating in community events and engaging with our local retirement village and school.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter started at gumboots and grasshoppers in 2021 and after viewing many daycares, G&G stood out by far. The children get to play and learn in a fantastic space with so many neat resources and the teachers are all amazing! They really make sure you feel as though you are part of the family.
We live out of Te Kowhai and have many centres closer to home but would rather travel daily as you know your child is in good care at G&G.
One thing that would make it even better is if the chef cooked dinners for parents to take home haha ?

The staff are absolutely amazing and really dedicate themselves to caring for and educating the children in their care. An absolute top centre!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My little one has absolutely thrived at this centre! The staff are amazing and go above and beyond to ensure the children are settled and comfortable especially through covid restrictions.
The space the children have to play is huge and the playground is well equipped and spaced out which you don't see in many centers anymore! My boy is so happy to head to daycare he takes off and doesn't even say goodbye.

They pride themselves in providing as many enrichment activities and experiences for the kids especially outdoors' everything from gardens to animals. The team there do an amazing job' I've always felt that the kids are in very safe and caring hands.
