Kids Cave Early Learning Te Rapa is committed to providing a programme that balances the interests of the child together with the aspirations of both the parents and teachers.
Our programme, based on the New Zealand early childhood education curriculum called Te Whâriki, is varied and flexible on a day to day basis, developing the curiosities of children.
We offer a range of learning opportunities to engage tamariki in a well-resourced, creative and inspiring environment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son loves it here! I have had 3 kids in and out (all 3 attending at the same time for some part) and have always loved the staff and environment. So friendly and do such a good job I wouldn’t have my kids anywhere else :) ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My two grandchildren attend this child care centre. They are happy, engaged with the teachers and love going there every day. I love going to pick them or just dropping in to read them some stories. Being with them in this environment shows me how much they enjoy being there. thank you

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 100% would not recommend. I only had my child enrolled for a short period of time. My beautiful outgoing daughter that wanted to be friends with any kid quickly turned into a sheltered shy girl that would curl into me at the site of another kid. I was paying for this place to care for my girl while I worked yet was getting phone calls to pick her up in an hour of starting my shift. Frequently I would go in and find 1-2 teachers (if lucky) for 13 + kids. One day a little girl was even screaming at the door and a teacher no where in sight. With diligence as I am not qualified in ece I got down to this girl's level and gave her some comfort and took her to a teacher that I had to go find! In short, I paid for care despite having to take unpaid leave from work to care for my own child. My child was not happy at all. Not enough teachers to actually look after your child. After a discussion with the directors I was left with "sorry you feel that way". If you really care about your childs wellbeing when your not around - do not send here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had my daughter enrolled here for a few weeks. It was her first kindy environment so we didn't know what to expect, being first time parents, we were also learning.
On her first day, I was watching her from a far with the mum and she was shoved multiple times by another child, to which the teachers seemed to do absolutely nothing when we asked what was going on.
I work next door and would randomly stop in, only to be met by poorly organized staff , confusion as to what the children's daily agenda would be and my daughter crying profusely wanting a drink of water from her bottle. ( which all childrens bottles are tucked away on a high shelf , inaccessible.
the last straw was when my daughter came home with an enormous lump/bruising on her left cheek with a scratch. I asked the manager what had happen and she said that she was not notified at all, she even tried to blame the mother for not asking what had happen when she picked her up . Such poor communication at this place. I would NOT recommend kid's cave to anyone.

It's such a huge coincidence that people are now reviewing 5stars after my very detailed review. Great job trying to keep afloat kids cave .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have 2 boys aged 2 and 4 at this centre. I have experienced the teachers communicating with me on how they are supporting my sons social skills on being ready for school. I like how they have so many opportunities where they practice caring for eachother and acknowledging each others feelings. Which my family feel is a big value to have in life. The homely meals are great to have and I know they are being well fed there. There is good outdoor areas in all the rooms with real grass!! And vege gardens where I see the children have been learning how to look after them!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our son has been here a year now and loves it. He is so well looked after by Hayley, Mia and all of the wonderful staff. He is always happy and has progressed so much by being here. He is fully toilet trained and his speech is amazing for a 2year old.
I love that he has very healthy and nutritious meals provided everyday. He’s also loved helping in the making of food for special occasions.
They have beautiful spacious rooms and fabulous outdoor area.
He looks forward to going everyday. And we get a full report of what he has been up to when we collect him in the afternoon.
I would definitely recommend Kids Cave.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We've been involved with this centre since 2015 and we've never had any trouble. My son was adored and cared for and now my daughter is getting the exact same support. The teachers always make sure we know what's happening with our kids and share lots of funny stories. Most importantly, my kids are always having loads of fun when I pick them up! The hours are great, the price is fantastic, and I'm jealous of the yummy nutritious food my kids get there! After being with Kids Cave, my son easily transitioned to school with confidence. Thank you Kids Cave for helping me raise my family xx
