★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gunns Bush track is mostly well formed with some steep and sometimes muddy sections. It is not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies.
Moss grows underfoot, making the first part of this walk a magic green carpet. The walk follows the stream and then does a small loop before coming back the same way. There are many large tree-fuchsia/ kōtukutuku which are commonly found in regenerating sites. The kōtukutuku is the largest fuchsia in the world and one of our few native deciduous trees.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great place. No toilets or facilities. An iteresting walking track that shows off native bush and a stream. Mostly flat which is good for families. Not pram friendly the whole way but you could get a good walk in with the pram. We saw fantails bellbirds and tomtits as well as tree fuschia matai and a wide collection of ferns.
