Making the decision to remodel your kitchen is a big one. We decided to go with Hacker Kitchens after meeting with the design team. They talked us through every aspect of the design and their software helped us visualise each option. Nothing has been too much trouble and they’ve coordinated every aspect of the installation for us as well. We have been so thrilled with the results - we felt obligated to provide this reference for Phil, Julia and their team. We recommend Hacker Kitchens without hesitation.

We had our kitchen renovation designed and supplied by Hacker. Incredibly professional, accessible (timely communication and handy location open on Saturdays), great technology (design and renders) and friendly team who went above and beyond get our kitchen in before Christmas, despite shipping delays due to Covid. We love our new kitchen - it's great quality and works beautifully from the cabinetry to the design/layout, Neff appliances and the indestructible bench top. Highly recommend!

After investigating a number of local kitchen companies and being dissatisfied with their designs and assistance I came across Hacker Kitchens. Both Julia and Phil were very professional, very knowledgeable and went out of their way to assist with my requirements. They have been helpful with the delivery and installation of the kitchen and we are very pleased with the functionality and quality of the Hacker product. Would highly recommend.

Do not contract the services of Hacker Kitchen NZ if you don't want to lose sleep, money and peace of mind. Full details of our nightmare experience below. We employed the services of Hacker Kitchen NZ to design, supply and install our brand new kitchen in 2021. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience in relation to the supply and installation of the products purchased and our kitchen is unfinished to this date. A number of items need to be replaced due to manufacturer defects and incorrect measurements from the installer. We have also been fully charged for items that were not installed properly or not installed at all. Additionally, we have got product specialists involved from Liebherr who have verified that the installation of our fridge was not in accordance with the product specifications, and indicated that we may have future problems with the appliance due to this incorrect installation. In spite of the fact that the representatives of Hacker Kitchen agree this all needs to be rectified, they refuse to order the replacement parts from Germany and our kitchen remains unfinished despite having paid the total cost in full. To note - we always paid the installments requested by the company immediately at their first request. Now, we have been forced to engage a solicitor, who has offered options to the company directors, who are still refusing to come to an agreement. We are unable to fully utilise our kitchen because there are a number of issues in relation to the design of the kitchen that go against the original plans, and these issues are creating serious inconvenience. We feel that we have been deceived by the company and that we have no other option but to take them to court. We were given a lot of assurances that we would be very happy with the result and that everything would be in accordance with German manufacturing standards, but we have ended up with the opposite. The representatives of the company have been behaving in an insulting manner towards us and our solicitor, including the company director Julia Shuttleworth. We have been lied to in correspondence with the company, and Julia is not making any attempts to de-escalate the situation but, on the contrary, is herself behaving in a reprehensible manner. We cannot in good faith recommend the Hacker Kitchen brand and we definitely would not recommend Zuhause Ltd as representatives of Hacker Kitchen, unless you expect to be deceived and insulted.

From start to finish of our kitchen remodel Hacker were professional and easy to deal with. Julia made the design process easy and helped us along the way with her experience, even after contracts were signed and we made last minute changes Hacker was accommodating making sure we got what we wanted. The pre sale process and documentation on what needed to be done before installation of the kitchen is something that you would not get from the big box stores and made the whole process easier to plan. The finish quality of the German made fittings, fixtures and appliances is second to none and worth every cent. Special mention needs to be made during the COVID pandemic with material and shipping delays that Julia and Phil did their best to change their schedule around our planning with the renovation, not an easy task… Thank you
