New Objects of Desire, or nood as we like to call it, offers today’s consumers a unique range of products under one roof. Life is full of desires, and at nood we like to think that we can help to make those desires become a reality. From our replica furniture to our on-trend homewares and quirky giftware, nood can offer you just about anything you desire to complete your home.
We first came together as a handful of people who all loved good design — but who couldn't understand why it had to be synonymous with big prices. So we set out to change things.
We launched our first nood stores in New Zealand in 2007. Since then we have expanded our stores but we still remain a tight, dedicated and passionate team operating out of Christchurch. Our team is continuously sourcing new products from around the world that we believe will complement the New Zealand lifestyle no matter what your style or budget.
We pride ourselves on offering a unique range of on-trend products that span furniture, kitchen & dining, bed & bath, homewares, giftware, and much more, to help coordinate and create the home you desire.

We went shopping there and i was very nervous because I am unable to wear a mask and have a medical exemption. the staff asked me and when I explained they left us alone and treated us the same as everyone else. thank you so much for being professional and respecting me. its not easy being treated like I have a disease wherever I go for something I cant do anything about.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Purchased two lawn games (finska + kubbs) from the store. After using the game a couple of times, the wood was very dented, numbers rubbing off, and the wood way fraying. VERY POOR QUALITY and SOFT wood with no varnish. Especially when you can go to Kmart, Kathmandu, or other retailers for much cheaper and are better quality.
I tried to return them for a refund, and they said for Finska was ' normal wear-and-tare' and said they couldn't do anything for me. For kubbs, they offered an in-store credit; however, I am not interested in anything else in the store.
Never using Nood again, and would not recommend them to anyone. This is a scam.
