I went into the council searching for info on a property. staff (Carla) was super friendly and helpful, also emailed me all the info I needed ( for free). People at rates team were easy to deal with too, helpful over the phone. very prompt in answering their emails. Got the job done in no time. Good job guys!
K	Kayla Payn on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called 6 times about excessive noise at a neighbours house (My walls were shaking from the bass). They played music from 11pm until 9am the next day. HCC's contracted security group didn't shut it down. They have regulations they outline on their website, but don't follow them?? What's the point of them then?

On the phone with their receptionist and she would just stop talking for 5 minutes to which point I thought she had hung up on me, I had to enquire several times if she was still on the line with me. She also had just a terrible attitude and no common sense (made me feel like I was wasting her time, when I was dealing with an urgent matter), I had called her 3 times over 3 days and still nothing had come from my request. I ended up going directly to the person in charge of what I wanted to do and got it sorted in a matter of seconds, with a message on their answering machine. Pro tip: Instead of not talking say something along the lines of "Please hold for a moment while I sort this out for you" PLEASE TRAIN YOUR PHONE PEOPLE IN PROPER TELEPHONE ETIQUETTE!
J	Jenny McPeake on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hamilton City Council workers spent the last two days at our home at 88 Sunnyhills Avenue clearing and cleaning out a huge storm-water man-hole and repairing the garden surrounding it, they were an amazing team of beautifully mannered young men led by a young Chinese gentleman named Kim. Their clean up after was amazing and very professional and their entire time here was an absolute pleasure. They deserve to be recognized for their attitude and manners and an incredible job well done. Please pass on our thanks - they're a great team. Jenny and John McPeake
R	Ross Scott on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a pack of wallopers our rubbish bin was stolen two weeks ago and they declined to organize pickup of our rubbish bags on the same day we would normally have our red bins emptied while waiting for our replacement bin and expect us to pay the refuse transfer station to get rid of them. Hamilton City Council you are a joke.

No cares and understanding were shown to the residents. All you after is how to make benefits from people who are obeying the rules. P	Parag Bhindora on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called Hamilton City Council office today to gain some clarity on some follow-up work required for a storm water line blockage outside of our property. A wonderful help desk person named Tiana help me with all my queries and tried to resolve the issue with utmost integrity and professionalism. She didn't just listen to me patiently but went into the depth of the problem, took some time to dig in at their end and gave a call back with some great resolutions. She was such a gem. Hamilton City Council is very lucky to have employees like Tiana as I never ever had a single bad experience from this organization. Thank you Tiana and the HCC office.
