My 20 year old son wanted to have his hair cut straight after lock down on the eve of his 21st birthday. Having seen the fabulous reviews, he was happy to try the Happy Barber whilst I was shopping in Birkenhead. He has the usual short back and sides with a side parting and a slightly longer top swept across with a bit of product. I picked him up after shopping and was not impressed by the cut/style. The back and sides were fine, but the longer front was just combed straight forward like a monk! He wasn't offered any product, so the style looked especially bad. The moment he got home, he got out the styling gel and tried to finesse it into some kind of style/shape. It highlighted the fact that his hair wasn't cut to fit that style, so there were tufts of hair poking out in several places. He will need to go to his usual barber tomorrow to get it styled correctly. Nice people, but disappointing that they gave him such an unattractive haircut.

Kelly does a good job. Super satisfied for a small shop. A mood lifter for sure. HAPPY with her service and chitchat. I'll be back for my next short back n sides.

I have come here on and off for a couple of years now. Its about a 20 minute drive for me to get there due to my location. However the hair cuts are consistently great. The time they spend on you to make sure you are happy with your haircut is generous for the pricing. Hence I am happy to travel for my haircuts everytime!

Thank you. Today was my first visit. What a wonderful experience. I started out with just a "senior's" haircut but was enjoying the experience and attention to detail by Tina so much that I asked for a beard trim too. With that, I got the full treatment on face, beard, neck. Thank you for making me feel special, you have gained a very happy customer.

I move around a lot so I've been to a lot of different barbers, but never have I walked out of a barber feeling more disgusting than when I walked into this one. I should've listened to the red flags but I try not to judge. First walk in, no greetings back, no smiles back (first red flag), just directed to sit down at a chair surrounded by someone else's hair (second red flag). I asked for a fade cut, and to my surprise, the lady immediately ravages through my hair with the razor (third red flag). My ear gets caught three times in the minute and I notice she's giving me a buzz cut when I asked for a fade. So I reiterate I wanted a fade explaining what I meant in case she wasn't familiar with the terminology. She affirms, but continued what she was doing. The buzz cut continued, so I ask for a fade a third time, but nope. My hair was already ruined, so I asked them to stop. Here's where it gets interesting. I thought of just leaving, but as an act of good faith, I decided I'd at least pay them half for the effort. But no, she demanded the full cost. She got the other lady in the store and her brother involved to gang up on me, literally saying sitting in that seat meant I needed to pay the whole cost. Not a single apology given, no sincerity, no consideration for the Consumer Guarantees Act; just a "pay up" attitude. I stood my ground though, and when they got sick of talking to me, pretty much just told me to get out. So I did, though they were rude behind my back all the way until I reached the door. So there's my happy experience, and if those two ladies and mister are reading this, please don't bully your customers, and I'd like to direct you into reading the CGA. Please Google it at your leisure. Cheers.
