As absent property owners, we have had Harcourts manage our property for many years. As long as the property is relatively new and in perfect order, they are great. However, any issues with tenant damage or maintenance beyond a simple leaking tap become the owner's stress. We have been very stressed and disappointed with this management style. They are very nice people and perhaps great if you are a local, but if you are overseas and want peace of mind, we have not been granted that for some time now and would not recommend them if your property is over 10 years old as it becomes too complex for them. We have also found at times the layout and irregularity of their statements an issue for tax organisation. In response to Harcourt's regrettable response to us below, and phone call of disapproval (re: the above review) to us whilst at work here in Australia, we would like to add, that we have had excellent help from another agency. This has relieved our stress enormously. Upon Harcourt's recommendation, we had a building inspector look at the property. After an $850 spend for this, he identified minor concerns only. There were not major construction issues at all with our property. We arranged most of the tradespeople ourselves from Australia, and all agreed that the construction was not the issue. So we cannot believe that Harcourts would now use this excuse for their inaction. We have had all of the issues identified by the inspector resolved in two weeks by another agency, after waiting months for Harcourts to resolve. Harcourts told us there were no tradespeople that could look at our property as it was too hard to get them in Queenstown, and even if they were "they wouldn't want to touch the place!". Harcourts did not action requests to resolve our concerns. In addition, we have just had to have the entire house repaired after an $8000 painting job Harcourts arranged on the house 18 months ago went awry. We were recently told that the problems with the painting they arranged had made them loath to action further repairs for us?? The home is no better or worse than any home constructed in 2005 in Queenstown. We became very stressed being telephoned to drop our work here in Australia and come and "project manage" what turned out to be ordinary repairs over there - as per the inspector's recommendations. We have found the entire process devastating and our very much loved asset has become a great financial and emotional stress for us as a result of the communication breakdowns. We do not appreciate Harcourt's current attempts to undermine our review. Indeed we were very fair and factual. We are very relieved to now have an agency that is actioning repairs and achieving excellent results.

Harcourts are great property managers. They always help me so quickly and nothing is ever a problem. Their concern of me is genuine and they make me know they care about how happy I am in my home. Harcourts is awesome!

Working with the team at Harcourts was so quick and painless. They made sure the applications and viewings were prompt, getting me a flat within a day. Honestly wouldn’t have found anywhere so easily without their help. The Harcourts team are always very accommodating with any questions or worries I have. Super grateful for their effort and time!

Can't recommend highly enough! We have rented our last two long term houses through Harcourts Queenstown and they have always been outstanding. Not only do they look after the landord's best interests and really care about their properties, they really look out for their tenants. In what is an unbelievably difficult market to find a quality rental through quality agents Kimberley and the team have been amazing, helpful and there when you need them!

10+ years renting through Harcourts Property Management Queenstown and can honestly say they have been outstanding with their ability to keep our home running smoothly. They are great at communication and when a problem comes up do their very best to resolve as soon as possible. I have been through too many individual managers to list but they have all been great and can appreciate the hard work they do.

19/12/18 My Partner and I have rented in Queenstown for just shy of 5 years and we have found Harcourts to be the best to rent with. I find the team at Harcourts to be very friendly and informative, a service, we felt other companies didn't always provide. A special shout to Lily, who always greets us with the friendliest smile and Mark Blake who has gone above and beyond to ensure our move to a new home was smooth. He has always kept us in the loop and is very approachable and responsive to any concerns we have had. I would happily recommend Harcourts to friends and family.
