★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hardy St is probably the best eatery in town at the moment. The coffee is totally on point. The donuts are to die for! So good. Not the usual sickly sweet over the top stuff you get in other cafes. They are just absolutely divine. I’ve never been disappointed with anything I’ve ordered here. The staff are efficient and friendly. Lots of sunny seating indoors & out. Plus a fire for our cooler days. The vibe is relaxed and you never feel hurried.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hardy St Eatery is definitely my new go to breakfast place in Nelson when I stay. Had some avocado on rye with a whole lot of other tasty goodness. I would have to say if you want a good Honey, lemon and ginger this is the spot. Drop in for breakfast you won't be disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heard this place was good so rocked up over New Years to find it closed on a Monday. Gutted but vowed to come back and try again next time we came down to Nelson. Well! It was worth the 4 month wait! THE BEST BREAKFAST we had ever eaten. We love our food and this meal was perfect. Avocado on Rye toast with a side of mushrooms and home made hash brown and my partner had a side of poached egg also. Omg it was so good, words can’t express the pleasure in our taste buds. Everything was perfectly cooked and the flavours tied the meal together beautifully. We came back a week later (this morning) with friends and ordered the exact same meals again but this time subbed in their house made sourdough and omg it was perfect yet again. Our friends agreed with us. Best breakfasts EVER! We will always come straight here when we come down to Nelson. Not just the food but the service was so friendly and welcoming. The owner/chef is so passionate about his amazing food and it really shows. We sat chilling and chatting for a couple of hours and felt right at home here. Not rushed to leave our table. Such a great vibe. Can not wait to come back again
