★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately the service we recieved from Chokdee was less than impressive.
We were booked and seated at 6pm, we ordered entrees and mains within the first half hour. A table across from us came in after us and had all of their mains before we even recieved starters.
Half of the entrees finally came out to which we then asked where the others were. Still no entrees.. They then started bringing out mains, leaving the two children at our table still without their dinner..
We then asked again about the entrees to be told they are coming and were then finally brought out once we had all finished our mains. Prior to this, the waitress had ran away multiple times before we could ask about all of the missing items.
There was no apologies or anything discounted.
Extremely disappointing service. We will definitely not be coming back here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered rice noodles with beef and thai fried rice. The rice noodle broth was really good! I enjoyed my meal. I would recommend going during lunch time. They have a lunch special price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Reasonably authentic Thai food - above average for Thai cuisine in New Zealand. While it might not pack a decent kick at the default setting - it's definitely got some heat in it. Would recommend this if you're in town for some Thai.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favorites in Nelson. Ask for the vegan menu and they will bring you a list of the meals they can make vegan. My favorite is the Phad Puck Satay with tofu and veggies the vegan Phad Thai is great too. The employees are very sweet people. I always enjoy my time.

Tonight we had the Duck Roti as a starter, was beautiful, highly recommend you try them. Also prawn and cream cheese dumplings, off the specials menu. Chicken and pineapple as well as cashew stir fry with chicken.
All fantastically cooked and beautifully presented.
