★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had dinner. We booked an external table in the dog friendly area. Water bowl ready to go for the little guy when we arrived. Service was excellent and Steve and his team very upbeat and chatty. Food was great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food ,ambiance & service! One of the very few restaurants in Nelson where we get big portions ! Also to mention their Classic Burrrito , Johnny Cash Stash and Rib-eye steak . Totally loved their Cheesecake & crème brûlée. A special mention to their Butter Garlic Prawn starter . A perfect spot for celebrations !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had dinner there tonight. I wish I hadn't. Huge meal, huge flavours, perfectly cooked fish. Young enthusiastic and welcoming staff. Great setting in downtown Nelson.
If only every Lone Star was as good as this one.
Shame I'm only in Nelson every few years.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very warm welcome, plenty of different spaces to sit. Good variety on the menu including gluten free. We had the steak special which was very delicious, steak was tender & terrific.
I had the kiwi pavlova which was scrumptious. Lovely ambience.
