I had got a job in Christchurch, I came all the way down from Auckland. I was wondering if there is any Hindu temple or not. But I am feeling great having sri radhe Krishna temple here as well. Great place on balley ave. I am very impressed by the architecture of the building from outside and the bhawan area. All sacular communities are welcome to visit the temple to get the blessings. ?❤️??

Awesome people organised a great community gathering for the locals to get together & have a peaceful time... A good anchored place to visit frequently. A big thank you! If one interested in volunteering activities, a best to be with.

It is a wonderful stop for those who are on a journey of self discovery. The temple is an oasis of spirituality and kindness. However, the journey may continue beyond, deeper into the inward dimensions and without bounds.

The temple in Christchurch is very beautiful and peaceful. I’m from India and I used to go to Iskon temple regularly in India because it gave me a lot of peace and strength. My connection with Iskon temples is special and divine to me. Moving away from home in India, I was very happy to know about Iskon temple in Christchurch. But my experience here has been really bad today. I went at 12pm in the afternoon and a man who probably works there, opened the locked door from inside while he was talking loudly on the phone. I went inside and started praying and then sat down for some peaceful time in the presence of the beautiful Krishna and Radha. This man continued to talk loudly with his speaker phone on for a really long time. I thought he would stop in sometime but he did not. He continued it for 20 minutes straight. Finally I got up and went near him and told him politely - I will wait outside till you finish your call - Can you please call me inside after you are done with your call? He said yes. So I went out and waited patiently so that he would finish his call and I could go back again and get to pray in a peaceful environment. But this man continued to talk on another call on the loudspeaker again and never finished his call inspite of me waiting outside for him to finish. He made me wait out for another 15 minutes. I finally gave up, came inside the temple and tried to pray with him continuing to talk loudly with his loudspeaker on. After a couple of minutes another lady came to offer her prayers, only after she came this man then excused himself to go outside to talk on his phone (after a total 35-40 minutes of talking loudly ,with his loudspeaker on) I told him Thank you! We go to the temple during tough times for peace and strength. My experience at Iskon temples in India has always given me more strength but unfortunately the experience here at Christchurch has been totally bad because of this experience since this man wanted to talk on his phone loudly with his loudspeaker on for such a long time! I realise he may be working at the temple or be a Iskon devotee team member, but this behaviour was totally unacceptable in the temple environment. There were other open rooms inside the temple where he could probably go and speak on his phone when someone just wanted to pray and have a peaceful time in front of the deity. Hare Krishna.

From India Jai Shri Krishna Incredible Vrindavan!! Place offers peace of mind!! This place is a holy place with lot of beautiful temples. The good things about this place is that it is clean and most of the well known temples are situated at road side and also they are not much far from each other.

Very nice place to meditate and learn about Krishna consciousness. They also offer free vegetarian meal (prashadam) every Sunday evening.

Recently, We went there for the Krishna Janmashtami program. Such a beautiful and peaceful place. An awesome spiritual atmosphere. Listening to bhajan there, got me remember about the temple near my home where I used to go with my Maa but of course I used to go there only for Prasad ?. After Pooja, they provided prasad. Never had such delicious vegetarian food anywhere else in the New Zealand. ❤️
