★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fabulous experience all round. The food was excellent and the service couldn't have been more attentive yet unintrusive. We had a selection of dishes and shared as a group. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Staff is very friendly.
Just one ⭐️ for the rice, it was delicious but the portion was super tiny, it should be a bit more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely awesome, I had the seaweed salad followed by a prawn katsu curry. Both dishes banging with flavour, nice contrasts of textures, and great presentation. Unfortunately I didn't have the presence of mind to take a picture of the salad before I had destroyed the presentation and tucked in (it was flavour that triggered wanting to have a photo).
Service was friendly, swift and attentive.
Could easily be the best Japanese food I had in NZ to date.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful restaurant and fantastic service. We opted for 1 set each. Perfect size (we were full but not stuffed) and everything was so delicious. Plenty of people coming in and out and the staff were quick to clean tables and set new comers. Bathroom was very tidy also.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an amazing place. For 50$ I had the chefs recommendation. Which had all their signature dishes.. and pretty filling too. Much better than YATAI at Featherston st. Highly recommended. And amazing service..
The dessert was ok creme brûlée. Included in the meal but prolly skip dessert if u r going for Ala Carte..

Visited again sept 2021.
Great food. Worth the money spent. This time has prawns and mushroom balls for entree. And other dishes that I have forgotten name. Definitely worth visiting..

We arrived at 7:50pm and stayed until 9:30pm, the food did take a wee while to come out but that was to be expected for the amount of food we ordered, the restaurant says it closes at 9 and the staff put up with us staying and enjoying all the food they offered, food quality was amazing and so tasty. Thank you again.
