★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's clean! The sheets were crisp and clean and the owners were being nice. Kitchen and bath are being cleaned on a daily basis.
I would recommend others to go here.
It was very loud though. I got woken up by drunk people outside and the deep snoring from the guy in the next room.
Also, this is not in Nelson as we first thought. It's half an hour away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here for 2 nights in July. On check in got invited to the local Poker Game. Fantastic night and great way to meet the locals. You need to put that on your info board.
Place is centrally locates with good off street parking. Room was clean and tidy. Would stay again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been there a month ago, and I've spent two nights at this lovely lodge and have enjoyed everything about it. Nice decor, friendly people and amazing staff!
The owner, Graeme is such a Gent. And that's a plus! I mean, just by looking at his answer about the review below, you should understand, how cool he really is!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most clean and equipped hostels I have ever been. Everything spotless and its obvious that owners are taking care of the place with love, not just draining the money from backpackers. Sorry the Covid crisis made the owners sell the place soon, but if this lovely couple will choose to get back the hostel business one day, i can just recommend it. Much love <3

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed there back in February and if it’s still the same hostel owners I would highly recommend this hostel. They went above and beyond in helping us get things sorted out and even gave us a ride to another hostel when they were fully booked! If they did sell the hostel I can only hope they get it back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was able to book a room outside reception hour by calling the manager's cellphone. I was impressed by how clean the hostel was. The location is perfect, a few steps away from the main street, between the two main supermarkets, across the road from the i-SITE and right next to the Sunday market location. Motueka is also a very good base to explore Abel Tasman, Kahurangi and Golden Bay. Beds were comfortable, kitchen with everything you need and two balconies. They also had free parking at the back.
