★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great barbershop and men grooming stuffs. The stylists are very attentive, friendly, and talkative. They also gives great advise. Depending on which service that you choose, you might also get free drink while waiting or having your haircut/treatment. I had my hair styled by Jeremy, and I've been getting compliments about my haircut ever since.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The manager of here Gary is the best barber in Auckland in my opinion; he has fantastic attention to detail! The place is also awesome! Awesome hair cut and male grooming and you get a free coffee too with the cut (which tasted amazing!). Check this spot out for a hair cut! Couldn't recommend it more!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a haircut here fairly recently. It was $35 for a men's standard cut, after the application of a generous 20% student discount, which was great to see. I had my haircut by an Italian guy, who is a great guy and did a fantastic job. It was a shame to be informed though that the student discount is only for those studying at New Zealand universities (which I guess is fair enough), and future visits wouldn't yield the benefit. All in all a pleasant experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Let me open this by saying I've been here 4 times, and the first 3 although of varying levels, were all good haircuts. Thus the 3 stars. But PLEASE pick your barber by name. I trusted them from previous experiences. Don't do that for the sake of your pants.
Now let me bring you to today. I got given an obviously new barber which is fine, we all need to learn. However, about 20 minutes into the haircut I realized they were still trying to figure out how to hold my hair when they cut it. They would put my hair in between the fingers of their off hand which would slip upward, so when the scissors came to cut it, they would cut off around 2mm. Thus began the age of the millimeter. The anxiety kicked in around here.
Now although you'd struggle to find two hairs the same length on top of my head, this can be fixed easily. However as we moved to the remaining hair the "shaved fade" sides started to look more and more like a abstract geometric painting. I had a solid line around my head like an 11th century monk, at which point my hair dresser had to ask a colleague how to do a basic fade with a shaver. I had been looking around for help so was beyond thankful when he was kind enough to leave his client and come assist.
My hairdresser then took back the reigns and things were looking up, until the line remained and she went on to say I have a boney head. I said "thanks" and she replied, "Oh has no one ever told you that before??". So I felt warm and fuzzy as she asked if it looked ok and began to pack up. We were AN HOUR deep at this point and I have random tufts of hair where when was meant to have used a shaver. All the other barbers were taken and I just wanted out of that chair of impending doom.
Went to try find a new barber to fix it but they were all close so am home now and waiting for my girlfriend of zero minutes haircutting experience to come fix my abstract hair lawn.
So yeah, 3 stars.
