★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Met Warren who was managing the shop today. What a knowledgeable and friendly man, this was a pleasant surprise given he is part Yorkshireman ? This place is incredible and well worth a visit if you want a insight into the wonderful world of geology and fossils. A truly unique shop in a truly unique place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best place to find the crystals you need. The man was so knowledgeable and friendly, and the wide variety of crystals/stones/gems is phenomenal! You can basically walk in here and be guaranteed to find what you're looking for. All stones come in their own bag with a description card and what you can use the stone for. The shop keeper was also kind enough to turn one of the dyed agate we bought, into a necklace. We visit this shop everytime we go to Akaroa! ❤️

Looking from the outside I previously thought it might be a but hazardous to take kids in but there were all sorts of amazing things and little stone samples from a couple of dollars onwards. Perfect for kids to look at and get some samples to start a collection. Kids got a great selection of rock samples and amazing little things.
