★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My mother was at Hilda Ross for a very short time however due to her poor health she was reviewed as not suitable. Mum required end of life palliative care and unfortunately a vacancy did not exit for her. In the short time she was at Hilda Ross we found the accommodation to be beautiful and the Director of Nursing absolutely gorgeous, caring and supportive, she went out of her way to assist Mum, Hilda Ross is so lucky to have such a special and lovely lady in charge, an Angel on Earth. However, there was some negativity, one of the RN's was quite the tyrant and incredibly disrespectful and uncaring towards my mother who obviously was facing many challengers. The aggregation she received from this particular RN was the last thing she needed, my Mum was an intelligent woman that needed TLC, her health was deteriorating rapidly from cancer, she refused to let us complain as she was worried there would be repercussions. Mum was probably not the easiest of patients however you expect more from a Registered Nurse not an argumentative non empathetic aggressor. Unfortunately, at the end of the day like all Age Care facilities it is all about the money, Mum became quite sick and was asked to leave as she was no longer suitable for the level of care she was receiving and sadly high end palliative care was not available due to space available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This retirement home has all you need. Well kept grounds, fresh looking buildings, lovely friendly staff, even the food is enjoyable. Most of the residents are very happy and have friends to talk with and those that attend the knitter nutter time on Saturday mornings love their time together.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hilda Ross retirement village is a fantastic place for my Mother to live. They really look after her. All the different activities that they provide for her. She has lots of great friends. She totally loves living at Hilda Ross.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not impressed with the SIX hour and one phone call delay in getting the fathers day card and gift to my dad. He is use to daily visits so probably thought we had totally forgotten about him..or worse..didnt care.
Btw the automatic response when you get one star isnt cutting it

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My Dad lived in one of the apartment units for 6 years. He thought it was a flash hotel. He was moved for the last year into the hospital wing where he was looked after for his end of life care. The service i received was exceptional especially towards the end, the communication was amazing. I was updated every step of the way. Thank you Hilda Ross!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My Grandmother lived at hilda Ross in a townhouse since 2004. This year she had to be moved to the rest home part as she was becoming weak and losing her ability to live on her own. Last week during lockdown while talking with her on the phone she all of a sudden sounded very different and we couldn’t understand her, she must’ve had a stroke. She sounded like she was dying. We rang the desk concerned and asked if we could come in and see her/ say goodbye because she sounded like she was dying. We weren’t aloud, we were assured she wasn’t dying. We understand lockdown is serious but if she was to die, we would never get to say goodbye or be there with her. The next day she passed away, alone. They then let ONE of us in to see her, and immediately we had to remove her things, less than a day. What felt like before her body was even cold. I am so disappointed in the service we all got in these last months.
