We are ideally situated for many local attractions with the Claudelands Event Centre just a 10-minute walk away, the must-visit Hamilton City Gardens within a half an hour stroll and the Waikato Museum amongst other must-visit places in the city centre just 2km away. The local Countdown supermarket is a 2-minute walk across the road.
Popular tourist destinations include Raglan, the famous town for any surf lover and Hobbiton, a place that needs no introduction, both just 45 minutes away. Being situated between Auckland and Rotorua, each an hour and a half away, it's no wonder so many people base themselves here for a great Kiwi adventure!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very poor and rude service. Cleaning staff were polite and friendly. Was surprised by having to pay a bond on arrival and then told I'd have to wait 2-5 working days to receive my bond back after check out. Also appears to have a rat infestation as fresh rat droppings on the veranda of the cabin I spent 2 nights in. I won't be back and wouldn't encourage anyone else to stay either. Very disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The new owners have obviously invested in the place with facilites recently revamped. Many of the cabins appear to be new buildings from the outside (I stayed in my campervan). Ignore all the old reviews giving the place a bad name!
The site is no frills, simple but has all the basics, staff are very helpful and the toilets kept spot less. Lots of bushes and grass but paved parks for the motorhomes. Cannot fault the place and I am now a regular.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I could not have asked for more, in a 'downtown' camp ground. I stayed in Feb 2022. The facilities were spotless, fridges and surfaces sparkling and cleaned daily, grass and plants short and tidy, and nice staff. I would highly recommend this as your cheap Hamilton accommodation (cheap when compared to a motel or hotel etc).
