I didn't tried a pie so can't say something to the other critics where the pies are declared as overvalued but the sweets are definitely worth their price. The custardtwist was the best pastry I have ever tried in New Zealand, it was so good I immediately had to go back after finishing it. The second item of my choice was the cinnamon brioche bun which was also fantastic. Both cost 3,50 $ but even for 5 $ I would buy them again. Some people wrote in their comments they experienced unfriendly stuff.. which I fortunately can't accord with. Everybody can have a bad day (so does also the stuff in the hilmorton bakery may has) but my day was brighten up by their food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have been wanting to try this bakery for awhile as I have heard it being advertised on the radio quite a lot. Huge disappointment. I had a vegetarian pie was very average mostly potato top couldn't tell what veges were in it. Apple slice was nice but very small. Staff were appalling. No good morning, no smile and very rude to other staff members. Won't be going back
