★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Are very tidy well maintained visiting or camping site of maritime and early settlers significance. Well developed grounds amongst established trees and gardens. This place is maintained with volunteering passion.
The river cruise is a must do option. Cool, scenic and informative.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maritime Museum in Paeroa is well presented & it has lovely beautiful landscaped gardens leading down towards wooden walkways right next to river & wharfs for boats for Cruises up and down the river. And also there extra land for Motorhomes,Campervans to stay over night $20. Non Powered site per night & $25. Powered site per night & Admission into Museum is $8.00. Maritime Museum site is in very good location which right next to State Highway 26(SH26) &Paeroa township has many shop,petrol stations,Countdown,Pharmacie,Liquor stores,Macdonalds,Garden Center,bank,Takeaways,Medical Center and many more businesses

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stumbled upon this delightful place earlier this week and had a most pleasant overnight stay. The Manager there - Colin - is the nicest person I have met in a long time. He made me feel very welcome from when I walked in the door. He has a great knowledge of things historical and his whole manner is perfectly suited to his role there. He clearly works hard in the gardens to keep everything looking so pleasant. Well done Sir and thank you. Peter who I met later was also very pleasant and accommodating. I will be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Finally went in, after driving past many times, and so glad we did. New people have done a lot to the place, it shows just how enthusiastic they are. We took a ride on a steamboat which was great fun, especially the commentary. The museum was interesting with a lot of stories, and it was lovely to just wander around the grounds. Well worth a visit.
