★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great track. Took me longer than 3hrs but I am very unfit. Difficult walk if you don't exercise much but still very enjoyable. With 380 elevated climb to the top it certainly was a challenge. We went around clockwise. Dam at the top was pretty, some snippets of views across Auckland. The track is well maintained, but has some steep drop offs in areas. Lots of rain prior so the small stream was quite deep and running fast making the rock hopping tricky but again I'm not fit. The rocks would have been trickier if I hadn't invested in proper track shoes. Even with the rain track remained comfortable and not muddy. Overall a very enjoyable walk. Moderate is a relative term, my leg muscles were put to the test, but there were others on the track that ran the whole way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is just wow. It's like something from a story book. Amazing scenery, beautiful waterfall and lot's of birds and plant life around. Beautiful spot, well worth the trip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice place , the way to reach this place are very scary and dangerous . My kids and I were feel very nervous. When we reach find the Peoples who are work there are very kind and helpful.
We have amazing time with my kids . Duck are so sweet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is great for a picnic, or an outing with the family. It's nice and calm. It has different walking treks. There are good, clean, toilets. Over weekends there are usually food trucks or ice cream trucks.
There are not many benches though, from what I could see.
It's only a short 45 minute drive from Auckland, and you get so involved in the natural beauty, that you forget all your worries

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great for a family outing or a picnic. Bathrooms were clean and there was a food truck on the day, not sure if its only there on weekends. There are a few picnic tables available but sadly no rubbish bins. The route to the falls is an easy stroll and you can access the falls from both sides.
