k	kathryn zhou on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The track can be described basically as going purely uphill at the start and then downhill. The scenery is nothing special, kind of boring to be honest so make sure you bring along a fuzzy buddy or your friends :)

All of the hike is walking through the forest and the view from the only lookout is half blocked by bushes. The reservoir is murky and not impressive as well. If you are someone who barely hike I guess it could be a nice hike to experience but if you are someone who hike on a regular basis this hike would be boring and would feel unrewarding.
L	Lisa-Jane Harvey on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wicked walk, just seemed to keep going up and up and up. Did it with my 9yr old and he loved it. Path very well maintained, steep drop offs in places but the elevation and snippets of the view worth every step. The dam is lovely up top, nice spot to lean on the wall and eat a sandwich. Had lots of rainfall prior to us getting there but the track was not boggy. Small river to cross with rock hopping. I think the river was quite swollen from the previous rainfall, the Hanua falls appeared to be thundering and the pool water level was higher than normal. This made the crossing tricky but not impassable. Overall a delightful walk, loads a kauri. The breeze through the trees and slight rain through the canopy was welcomed. Bathrooms at the end were spotless.
N	N V on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I did the Massey loop track because it has been raining the past couple of days before my hike and wasn't sure if the river would be safe to cross for the Cossey track. I did it by myself and it was a nice walk. Had a good and refreshing time. Tracks were well-signed and leveled. Very easy to follow.
K	K K on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not very hard - convert to Apple health data: 8 km, 110 floor and 16,000 steps roughly. Almost all track is shaded. So it's very good for summer. Some area has pebbles on the slope. It can be very slippery. The Hunua fall is a must see.
