★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only stayed one night, but it was glorious. The Nest is compact, cosy and cute. We spent the evening sitting round the firepit (despite being bitten by various bitey insects?) drinking wine, talking and enjoying the forest night time sounds. In the morning fresh, warm bread appeared in a little basket at our door. A lovely touch.
The road down almost put us off, but it was part of the adventure, The Nest was the treasure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ SIX STARS! Five stars is just not enough for Hurunui Jacks. This review is for the 'The Nest ' at Hurunui Jacks. The nest is a similar to a typical kiwi 'Batch' or 'Crib'. Compact, but with everything you need. It is the setting and hospitality of the hosts that make Hurunui Jacks the fabulous place that it is. We fully intend on returning and make the most of what is a supremely relaxing experience. The outdoor fire pit, outdoor bath and shower, abundant bird life and adjacent bush are magical.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed here while doing the West Coast Wilderness Trail. Most memorable accommodation as the setting is unique. The glamping tent is being rebuilt new. We had a look at it while walking down to the stream. It looks great and will be back online and available next summer. We stayed in "the Nest". Great bach like accommodation. Beautiful stars from this location as so little neighbours anywhere close.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very relaxing stay at Hurunui Jacks, the perfect antidote to city life. Surrounded by beautiful bush and birdlife, and with lots of activities within range, including spectacular lakes and turquoise rivers. Even some gnarly bike trails to play on at the nearby Blue Spur ridge. Wendy and Fletch were generous hosts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wendy and Fletch have a developed a hidden piece of paradise in a stunning part of Westland.
We had a truely relaxing few nights in the glamping tent where no attention to detail as been overlooked. Wendy and Fletch were excellent hosts. This was a wonderful experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just one of those absolute gems that'll stick with you for ages. Has to be experienced to be believed really. Although we only live half an hour up the road, we felt like we were a long way away. Wendy & Fletch clearly love what they do. The firewood cuts and stack are a work of art and Wendy's breakfast is 1st class. We'll be back... and I'll bring the camera next time ?
