Founded in the 1950's, Hutt Art Centre has two galleries and is home to a wide range of artists and artistic styles. Come and check us out.
About Hutt Art Society Inc
The Odlin Gallery is available to hire on a fortnightly basis and the Huia Gallery is available for weekly hire. Both galleries are light-filled and supplied with all the equipment required to set up your exhibition.
The equipment available includes plinths, hooks, an assortment of stands and shelving units.
Exhibitions are set up on a Sunday afternoon around 6pm. You are required to provide gallery minders whilst your exhibition is open to the public, but we may have members on hand to help out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small local gallery supporting local artists by selling their works. Some interesting works here but i didnt see anyone internationally renowned (but i could be wrong). Much smaller than the dowse - essentially a repurposed house. They offer art courses for locals.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This a good location and caters for a number of activities. My friends and I use it as a venue to play boardgames in one of the many rooms. The room is warm with its own heatpump and there are kitchen facilities available. It is well set up with off-street parking for users. Nice and central to other facilities in Lower Hutt. I recommend this place as a potential venue for all you artistic or other indoor interests.

My mother having belonged to a spinning group literally enjoyed every day she spent with the group at Hutt Art. I will possibly soon belong to a pottery group as I'm fully retired.
