β β β β β We got income protection for our business from NZI, including full business insurance. Been paying the premium for two years. This year I had a fall and was asked bu doctor to take time off work. Filed income protection claim, its over one month now and NZI keeps stalling for a decision whether to pay me or not. No they are saying my injury is old and despite my GP clearly stating in writing that the two injuries are not related, NZI still hasnβt paid a cent to me. Worse they keep getting different people from different departments involved. Worst insurance company in my experience. Seriously thinking of withdrawing all my insurance policies with NZI. Will not recommend NZI to anyone.

β β β β β My experience with this company has been terrible. I've been my home content insured with them (through Westpac) for over 9 years and I never lodge a claim. Now that I've been asked by my landlord to temporarily move out of the house for conducting EQC repairs, I requested their support for the first time. Even though according to the legal advice I got I'm entitled to get the temporary accommodation cover, IAG has always found a way of rejecting the claim. They kept asking me for more and more papers and I have provided all the proof it's been possible for me to collect, but in the end it wasn't enough. Considering that my policy stipulates a maximum of $5000 for temporary accommodation, I just can't trust that they will respond for any more valuable things. I know for sure I will stay away from this company.

β β β β β Would give 0/5 stars if I could have been nothing but a stressful company to deal with I pay my insurance premiums expected to be covered when my car was stolen they accepted my claim told me they were paying out and should recieve the payment with in 3 days waited almost a week then got told they put the money into a wrong bank account which is just a piss take now I have to wait another two three working days have explained I have a toddler I need to transport to preschool etc so its important I have a car to get to and from work this company is highly not recommended definitely wont be using this company again in future

β β β β β Have had insurance for over 6 years for house, contents, 3x cars and caravan. Terrible customer service they take forever to answer your calls. Then you lodge a claim for damage to your
caravan and they mange to wiggle out with a minimum amount of cover because they claim its gradual damage!
